Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s. In the year 1990 there was speculation that she might have been Hugh Grant's girlfriend. When Hugh Grant's movie Four Weddings and a Funeral became the subject of global public attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. It instantly brought the attention of media. Her relationship with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. Hurley was recruited by Estee Lauder to be their first model when she was at the age of 29. Since 1995, she's been a model in the products of the company like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the movies that are a hit with fans, such as International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), Hurley played Vanessa Kensington. The song quickly stirred controversy, as critics criticized the song for encouraging sexual relations between gays and lesbians and others charged that the explicit scenario it depicted catered to men's fantasies about sexuality among females. I Kissed a Girl became the number one hit in the world due to the combination of sexual enticement and a refined melody. It also helped her sell more albums, such as The One of the Boys. Its bouncy, sharp-tongued and bouncy second single Hot N Cold also proving to be a hit, the album which Perry composed herself, eventually saw the sales of over three million copies in the United States.
